Hi there...

I started lettering over 25 years ago; if you have been able to come to a show, take a class or meet me at Bella Patina in Kansas City, you might have thought "Wow, that looks effortless." But what you missed was years of practicing and the many mistakes I've made when lettering, I still spell words wrong, don't center something exactly right... but you've got to give yourself grace as you learn anything. 

Hand lettering is so much fun, but it's a lot of practice! I hand letter every day as my ob, so there's rarely a day I'm not lettering on something! 

I love handwriting and fonts and I love words. Words are so, so, powerful and that's what lead me to start doing this business and I am beyond blessed to have built this into something I genuinely enjoy doing. I'm so lucky to have built a team who loves what we do every day. 

When I'm not busy doodling and lettering, I'm a mom of to four funny, brilliant grown kids and I have two mini wiener dogs who keep life interesting and give her someone to talk to when she works.  I'm so lucky that my husband, Vic, is an accountant by day and is my carpenter/painter by night and is a key part of my business. If you've been to one of my  shows, he's "the man in the pink shirt" that may have checked you out at the register! 

We moved back to the greatest city in the entire world, Kansas City, last year. You may have seen my renovations on my facebook page, we completely renovated my house and it's a dream come true. In my "spare" time, I rearrange the furniture in the house,  garden, read the occasional book, play the piano and consume way too much caffeine.

I wholeheartedly believe that words matter, love does, and life is better when you're laughing. I am truly the happiest when I have the opportunity to share my talents with the world and I hope that each of the GaleNation products you purchase bring you joy and the sweetest memories ever.
